Commercial Access Road Surface Treatment
This project involved essential road surface maintenance works carried out within a busy commercial and industrial access area. The existing asphalt had deteriorated due to ongoing traffic use, resulting in visible wear, cracking, and reduced surface performance. The objective of the works was to improve overall road condition, enhance safety, and extend the service life of the surface through appropriate treatment methods, while allowing day-to-day operations within the area to continue.
The works included preparation of the existing road surface, removal of loose and damaged material, and the application of hot bitumen to seal cracks and vulnerable areas. Surface dressing techniques were used to reinforce the asphalt and protect it from further deterioration, with particular focus on high-stress areas such as access points, turning zones, and main vehicle routes. The completed works delivered a stronger, sealed surface with improved durability, reducing the risk of water ingress and future defects, and demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality road maintenance solutions in live commercial and industrial environments.
