Wet Pour EPDM Safety Surfacing
This project involved installing wet pour EPDM rubber safety surfacing within a fenced outdoor recreational area. The existing surface was upgraded to provide a safer, more durable, and visually striking finish suitable for regular public use, while meeting modern safety standards and requiring minimal maintenance.
The area was carefully prepared to create a clean, stable, and level base, with close attention paid to surface levels, falls, and edge detailing. All works were completed within the enclosed space to maintain site safety and minimise disruption.
The wet pour EPDM surfacing was then mixed and laid in situ, before being hand-trowelled to form a smooth, seamless finish with consistent colour and thickness. The completed surface now offers an impact-absorbing, slip-resistant, and weather-resistant solution, transforming the area into a safe, modern, and easy-to-maintain recreational space.
